Flowers????

So, a few years ago I took some cuttings of the plants hanging at my office, and tried to grow them at home. They've done pretty well for themselves, and now I have my own hanging plants.

BUT THEN....

A week or so ago, one of them decided to grow little plastic looking stars.

Turns out, this kind of plant FLOWERS, only none of the ones at the office have ever done so, so I guess they need different conditions or something. Apparently the plant is a Hoya, and they need to be a bit pot bound for it to happen... as well as some random other requirements I guess.
